Support

I have decided to start using my blog more often.  There is so much inside of me that I'd really like an outlet for.  I don't care whether anyone reads this or not.  It is more of a space for me to organize all that is in my head and my heart.  (One reason I love the Internet is that it provides storage that takes up no space in your house.
The topic that keeps coming up again and again for me is support.  I have received a tremendous amount of support in the last year.  I'd like to say  more support than ever before, but looking back, I realize that I have always been supported.  Which makes me wonder how little attention I must have paid to everything holding me up and keeping me going.  How years went by without me even noticing everything in place to help me fulfill my purposes.  Of course, I spent a lot of time  worrying.  I worried that things wouldn't work out, that there wasn't enough, that forces greater than me were out to keep me down.  So it really is refreshing to wake up everyday overwhelmed by the kindness and abundance that are constantly flowing in my life.
As I write this I am sitting at the table of my spacious kitchen.  I have a scented candle burning (a Christmas gift from a dear friend).  I have plants placed around the counters (some gifts from others, some gifts from me).  My refrigerator (a house-warming gift from my aunt Shelly) is humming softly.  Boo is curled up at my feet.  I just finished a delicious cup of chamomile tea.  (Really, the prettiest and tastiest I've ever had).   There is a mantle of valentines and thank you's.  An original painting from my Aunt Stacy nearby.  I could go on and on.  Right now, my brain and eyes are asking for sleep.  Until tomorrow...

Celebration of Life Back Up And Running

I'd say that I think the most revolutionary act that you can commit in our society today is to be happy.  If you want to change the world, then be your own focus for a celebration of life.  Really, fundamentally, at the very core of your being, be thankful you are alive, that you've got this opportunity, with these molecules at this moment.  Be thankful!  Be a celebrant!  Be thankful that you are alive and then look around to see who else is at the party! -Patch Adams
